The Ultimate Guide of REAL Discounts – Save Money Today!
Learn how you can literally save a significant amount of cash each month by simply asking for a discount.
It seems like many Americans have lost the art of the haggle - what has happened to this common practice that is used daily in many other countries around the world? Travel abroad and you will almost be considered a sucker if you do not try to negotiate a lower price.
The simple practice of asking for a discount or better price does not have to be reserved to only large ticket items such as jewelry, vehicles or a home. If you ask for a discount every time you reach for your wallet you may be extremely surprised with the savings you will receive.
By asking for a discount, one of three things will happen:
- You won’t receive one (BOO)
- Yow will receive one (YES)
- Or you won’t receive one for the particular item you want but they may offer alternatives that are cheaper, on sale or have a discount (YES)
The great thing about asking for a discount is that it challenges the clerk to think of how they can help you as you have not committed to a purchase yet and they want to make the sale.
It all comes down to the old saying “Ask and You Shall Receive”
Tips on getting a discount
- Simply ask, “Is this the best price you can offer”
- Pay in cash (maybe not as important these days)
- Ask about sales or coupons
- With perishables, bring up the expiry date
- Always be polite and friendly
- Comparison shop and ask for price matching (even better, ask if they can beat a lower price you find)
Below is a list of know discounts for seniors, military and students…but as mentioned above Just Ask
